General properties of the most common greases

Where are the greases used?

They substitute the lubricating fluid where.

The product must stick on to the lubricating point, since the lubrication frequency, and therefore the cost of it, using a fluid is too high.

It is suitable neither to pump a fluid nor to assemble a deposit for it at the lubricating point, due to the specific machine's configuration.

We need the lubricant to seal in order to protect against pollution and other non-desirable materials.

Whenever we lubricate with a grease, we always have to take into consideration that.

It does not cool off the mechanism as a circulating fluid.

It does not clean and take away residues and non-desirable materials as a fluid in a powered circulating circuit.
