ISO (International Organization for Standardization)

The ISO 6743-9 Standard is the classification of the family X (Greases), that is included in the ISO 6743 Standard (Lubricants, industrial oils and related products-class L).

The detailed classification of this Standard is based on the operating conditions of the grease use, and not in its information.

In accordance with ISO 8681, the comlete designation of a grease includes:


ISO-L-X-Symbol 1-Symbol 2-Symbol 3-Symbol 4- NLGI Grade, Where:

Symbol 1 : Lower operating temperature:

Symbol 2: Upper operating temperature:

Symbol 3: Level of anti-rust protection, based on environmental conditions.
